God, Until I’m still, I am nothing

Until I’m still, I desire everything
Until I’m still, I have no purpose
Until I’m still, You are small

When I’m still, I feel alive
When I’m still, You’re all I have
When I’m still, I desire You
When I’m still, my purpose is
When I’m still, You are all

After I’m still, You are everything
After I’m still, I have power from You
After I’m still, my desire is Your desire
After I’m still, my purpose lives
After I’m still, You are alive within

Until I’m still is before the quiet, is before anything.
When I’m still is when I’m quiet, is the deep breath.
After I’m still is after I’m quiet, is the plunge.

God, make me still. Until I’m still, make me bored. When I’m still, make me sincere. After I’m still, make me breathe. Make me passionate. Make me alive.

I shall be still.
