
Throughout the recently concluded Peasant Princess sermon series based on the Song of Songs, I included a few discussion questions in the sermon each week. Some people have asked for a compiled list of these questions, and the following includes as many as I wrote down or can remember. Some of the questions, though, were made up during the sermons and therefore might not be on this list if they escaped my memory.

I love volleyball. It’s just such an amazing sport, requiring a large skill set: from accuracy and power to body control and ups. It’s also a great sport, cause anyone can play it really, cause most people can put their hands together and hit a ball over a net, so my friends can play a game together. It’s great, requiring teamwork, and just having fun. But there are rules, and those rules have reasons. I’ve known the rules for some time, but I never really valued them outside of the purpose of designing the game.

This week I attended the youth group at Fort Gatlin Alliance Church, my homechurch for the past 20 years. While I now attend First Alliance, I still enjoy going to youth group, seeing my younger friends and listening to Pastor Steve’s lessons. This week was a prayer focus, on being still before the Lord, quieting your mind and conversing with God (with emphasis on the listening part of conversation).
